What we collect
When you create an account, we collect the email address and display name you provide (or the equivalent information supplied by Google when you sign in with Google). We do not ask for identity documents, phone numbers or payment information for the free (Member) tier.
What we store on your behalf
Everything you save in your workspace (bookmarks, notes, watches, watchlists, saved views, saved comparisons and reports you generate) is stored so you can retrieve it on your next visit. This data is scoped to your account and is not shared with other customers.
How we use your data
We use your account data to operate your workspace, deliver research on the entities you follow, keep you signed in and respond to your requests. We do not sell your personal data.
Passwords and reset tokens
Passwords are stored only as salted bcrypt hashes. Password reset tokens are stored only as SHA-256 digests. The raw token exists only long enough to be delivered to you and is single-use with a short expiry. Our operators never see your password or the raw reset token.
Guest browsing
You can browse public research without an account. As a Guest we do not create a user record, a session identity, a workspace or a subscription for you.
Analytics and cookies
We use session cookies to keep you signed in. If we later add product analytics, we will disclose the categories of data collected here and provide opt-out where required.
Downgrade and account state
If you move from Pro to Member, your research is preserved: additional workspaces become read-only, extra watches are paused. Nothing is deleted by a downgrade. Reports you have generated remain retrievable regardless of tier.
Account and data deletion
You can request deletion of your account directly from your account settings.
Once deletion is requested, access to the account ends and the account enters a 48-hour deletion period. During this period, you may cancel the deletion request and restore access to the same account.
While deletion is pending, the email address remains associated with the account and cannot be used to create another account.
If the deletion request is not cancelled within 48 hours, the account is permanently deleted together with the customer research and workspace data associated with it, subject to information that we are required or permitted to retain for legal, financial, security or administrative purposes.
Once permanent deletion has been completed, the deleted account and its research workspace cannot be restored.
If you later register again using the same email address, it is treated as a new account rather than a restoration of the deleted account.
Data location and compliance
Formal residency, GDPR and SOC 2 assertions are under legal review. This page will be updated with verified statements before those claims are made.
